6'1" 175 lb Guy Ski Size Help! ++K

++ KARMA to first answer!

My best friend just started skiing, as in only a few times this season.  He needs skis.  I have no idea what size to get for a 6 foot 1 inch tall 175 pound guy.  HELP?

I was thinking 178-181 centimeters?  I know it depends on the ski so anyone who could just give me a general rough estimate that would be GREAT!

Merry Christmas and I did search bar, couldn't find what I needed.
