.....Just wondering what you all think really as i can piste ski and i'm getting into freeskiing, i'm going to get the K2 Silencer as they look good for someone starting out into the park but they are a good all rounder? .....I looked at the Atomic Punx and Panic but they look a little too far ahead for me at the moment, i will be using my Salomon boots but would like to get some freestyle boots, what do you guys use? whats ur set up?

Also gonna be getting the nice Armada Propelled jacket :D

i wouldnt recommend the silencer, look at line or armada, both super legit skis

maybe the afterbang for a soft park ski
armada ar7 is a nice , both have skis to look at, both built to last

If you want to cover everything, i'd look into Line Blends, not the silencer, and like said above, the Afterbang and AR7 are nice skis, also Armada El Rey.

With boots, its really what fit you well, my arches have collapsed so im stuck with a wide Head boot, as they are really the only wants that fit me well, Full Tilts, Head MOJO, got to your local ski store and see what they have, never buy boots on the internet without trying them on before in the shop, hope this helps!

K2 are good skis man, the silencer has all mountain rocker so will be good in crud and ok in a small amount of pow, its a good, light, cheap ski to start with, i would recomend salomon sth or marker bindings, K2 come up a bit bigger than most so a 169 is more like a 171 but cause your ski is rockered you will want to go a bit bigger than normal to get the benfit of it (+ rocker skis have a shorter contact point). I would also recomend full tilt boots i had a lot of problems with shin bang, full tilts sorted it over night, & they are so light

I just read the silencers we're a good ski for someone wanting to get into park? if i get good i'll spend more obviously but for now at least i think i'll get the k2.

Yo man, depends on how much you want to spend, silencers are pretty good in my opinion, in terms of how much bang you get for your buck. I've had two sets of line skis and had problems with both of them, both of them the bases furred up really quick and no matter what I did to them or what i got done to them (pro race service, basegrinds, race wax, hot wax, cold wax, wax + zardos etc), within a few runs they'd just furr up and get real slow. If it had only happened once then fine, but 2 x in 2 sets of skis has put me off. I also know one of their sponsored riders who had the same problem with a set of Anthems, so i know I am not alone.

4frnt tnk's are real nice, great for park piste and pipe, and if you buy them the right length and are not particularly fat they will do in the pow.

Rossignol S3's are truly the greatest all round ski I have ever skied! Incredible fun, take out a demo pair if you can - but fairly expensive. Worth every penny though

Armada T-Hall's are properly good too, great park ski and wide enough and stiff enough to do pow well as well.
