SLC resorts

Im from jersey and only ski around here, vermont, or canada and i have never been out west until this february.

Im planing a trip and im flying into SLC got any ideas for places i should go to? Good park, good mountain, lots of tree skiing and bowls.

i don't know but i heard snowbird and alta aren't even open today because there's so little snow up there. i think the even closed the highway going up there, something about rain and mudslides...

ill help you out.

for the best of everything experience i would recommend the canyons.

little cottonwood or big cottonwood if you want to ski without park.

For skiing park, PC is the only option. The park has been actually really sick so far this year. Many people think that PC doesn't have a lot of pow. Go look at the weather reports. They just got dumped on with almost 20inches of pow in the last 24 hours. You just gotta know where to go at PC for the pow.

PC isnt a matter of not having any pow, just a matter of it not having NEAR the terrain of the other resorts to have fun with that pw.. id say b-town is the best place for all of it.. they have a pretty fun park this year so far too

Brighton's park is absolute shit. Coming from just about any respectable east coast resort you will be disappointed with Brightons park. Their pow is epic though crazy fun terrain.

Really though I don't know why I always answer these, from here on out I swear to say nothing but dick comments to people asking this question.

haha no, brightons park is not close to as good as many.. but it is better than canyons and i feel like the other terrain at brighton makes it a much better choice than PC

plain and simple, brighton's park is for heshers and little kids who haven't learned jumps yet. its fucking terrible.

Even their jumps are horrid. I can understand why they have the park pass for their jumps. Even if you know how to hit a jump properly, You can still fuck yourself over on brightons poor excuses that they call "jumps". Super sketchy construction.

When the canyons park is up and running, its 100 times better than brighton. But, brighton does have much better terrain than canyons. The true solution to this problem is save up more money/work at a resort and get a pass to PC/canyons AND a BCC or LCC resort.

if you want all around riding park, pow, cliffs etc, brighton if you want straight park pc or canyons, if you want straight pow alta or snowbird.

I'm in SLC currently and I ski vermont as my home area. I definetly say Park City for good park. The Canyons is fun too. Also you have to ski Solitude. Sick trees and no lift lines, which is sick for powder days.

man i heard that too. shits wack. canyon road is fucked wont even be available until end of january or early february at the earliest. im bummed i got my pass there, only gotten to ski one day and it was rainy and rocky. im lookin for a refund.
