to go for a long distance jump on a snowmobile you DON'T have to be on snow you fucking idiots. the snowmobile doesn't magically change into another machine when it's not on snow. you're still jumping a snowmobile farther than anyone has done before.
Hes actually right. People automatically assume that when they the word "snowmobile", That it only can run on snow. You can ride a snowmobile on pretty much anything. Dirt, gravel, sand, woodchips. Fuck, Even a street if you have the will too.
IMO it would be harder to do it on turf than on snow because it wouldn't grip as well, so you would have to feather the throttle and not be able to just pin it.
You can ride on all those terrains if you have bogey wheels, but a modern sled needs snow for the sliders for any serious riding or you will break shit. But seeing as that guy is a pro, a new set of sliders is no big deal.
The sliders need water from melted snow to function properly, It's probably nothing to that guy but when I had my formula that shit was expensive. The astro turf saved his carbides though.
this just made me think that there was no red bull no limits last night, kind of weird considering they've done something every year for like the last 5 years
