How to wash a G suit jacket?

Hey NS, I got a question for you. I recently got a used G suit jacket. I have been using it this reason and it has gotten pretty dirty. I want to know if there is a good way to wash this jacket. Like so the features on the jacket don't get ruined into the was/dryer. If you have ever washed yours and know what the outcome is may you please tell me.

1. Put in washer.
2. Hang dry.

Dry clean it, it takes pretty much everything out. Dry cleaning it though will cost you a little more, but I think it is worth it.

look for a detergent that doesn't have any warnings, machine wash cold and hang dry

correct me if im wrong but doesn't washing outerwear fuck with the waterproofing? I remember a few years back I washed a pair of pants like maybe 3 times and after that they started getting soggy and weird when they got wet.
