Replying to Surface warranty?

i hear they don't warranty anything, but i couldnt find threads on it. yesterday one of my watch lifes snapped when coming off a rail and running into someone else's ski that was lying in the snow. didnt' seem like that big of an impact at all, but i decided to session a minirail until i legit couldn't ski anymore, now the ski is snapped in two, very extreme damage for a seemingly minor incident. should i bother emailing surface, or should i not? or should i call them up to tell them my story so they're more likely to send me replacements? this is my second season with them and they were in pretty good shape before yesterday.
