Before the big bang were more big bangs. Some think that the universe collapsed on itself, and exploded out into what we know as the big bang. This means that the universe has been continually expanding till it can't expand any more, then collapsing on itself into a big-bang, creating the universe again. That could have been going on since...forever. so maybe our big bang wasn't the first, it could be the 2nd or the 100 millionth.
But that doesn't answer when the first big bang was. But maybe there never was a first big bang.
Now think that if the universe is expanding (which it is), what's on the outside of it? More expanding universes? Nothing? What is nothing?? And if that's true, then there might be a series of expanding and contracting universes all going throug infinite big bangs, right next to each other. Which might bring up the whole parallel universe thing.
Think about that high.
or look up death of universe theories.
i should've added a mindfuck disclaimer. my bad haha.
