Translucent Mirrors

I just found out about this new mirror technology by sony and think that it's a fantastic idea but I'm still a little skeptical I don't see how this can have the same image quality as a legitimate DSLR. It's supposed to autofocus almost instantly in camera and video mode which would be awesome for my purposes but what do you think

Not really a new technology, but newly introduced for video purposes. There was a version of canon's 1N with that, it's called a pellicle mirror. I think it was like the 1N rs or something. It can improve sequence frame rate at the cost of a darker viewfinder. I'd bet other 35mm cameras had one that I just don't know about.
