everyone please stop whining about the winner being revealed, that's pretty much the point of newschoolers, getting the most up to date info as fast as possible, well you got it
So yeah, I have seen his segment in Revolver. Frankly, I wasn't impressed.
On the hip/transition he does cork 5. Same one he's been doing for years.
Next one up a whiskey flip. Meh, seen better.
He does a massive 900 blunt over a pipe cutter. He's been doing those 9s for years minus the pipe cutter. He goes super big, I have respect for that.
Next trick, switch 1080 blunt. Once again, he's been doing those for a couple years now. His aren't even the best, Xavier Bertoni does them much better (different grabs too).
Next trip, Whiskey Flip over the pipe cutter. Same story with the 900s. He goes very big, something that he does better than almost anyone I'll give him that.
Clearly, you don't watch many pipe segments. As this was merely him going super big over a pipe cutter. Novelty. Watching Xavier Bertoni, Justin Dorey, Mike Riddle, Kevin Rolland, or Duncan Adams is MUCH more impressive.
that double 12 was so beautiful, and i had no idea he would even sack up to try one this year. definitely deserved the win, too bad he had to be a bitch about the first run.
as soon as you get to watch the dew tour runs of all the people you mentioned you will agree that dumont is much better than all of them
i was skeptical of dumont for a while but now seeing his textbook dub 12 mutes and amplitude he is hands down the best pipe skier the judges were basically waiting for him to have his second run and win
You're probably right about the fact that I don't watch a lot of pipe segements. Mainly because there isn't any pipe segments at all almost. Well whatever, My opinion against yours. I respect yours. I thought it was a great segment.
he had a big surgery on his ankle, and i see why he was doing it but i still think the spot could have gone to someone who would have gone way harder, hopefully he throws down later in the tour
Oh I see. Thats a bummer for sure. Plus your ankle is one of the main parts on your legs that absorbs the impact. I am sure it would kill if you landed deep in that icy pipe.
