what was it done with? it looks nice, I like the art style.

for some reason I would have preferred a TV to a radio in terms of symbolism. It would maybe make use of some nice negative space on the screen as well.

i like it a lot, but it looks like he has fly eyes a little bit.

man I'd definitely describe lost as having a cult following.
I just liked the idea of a TV for one of a few reasons...

symbolically, I think it would be switching the theme from a positive one, if that's what you're going for, to more of a negative one. Basically saying the religion we now follow is that of the TV; it has become our messiah and we're slaves to it.

and then I think I'd more prefer it because it would be a bit cleaner visually if you ask me. It would be less busy and would maybe look a bit more appealing.

I still really like it though, good job on it.

If you look at each part on it's own, it's not bad, but it doesn't make a lot of sense together.

Your style is kinda cartoony. It's not a bad thing, it all fits together well and within your vocabulary nothing in that image feels out of place.

If you are trying to make art that says something, drawing in a cartoonish stylized style isn't going to get you much more than a grin, because that's what people do when they see that style : it's a cartoon, you get the idea fast, you move on.

The neck doesn't look like it would support such a big head, which kinda bothers me.

I also think that the ironic religious iconography thing is a trend that has been played in art in the last 10 or 15 years, I've seen a lot of it. A friend of mine has almost exactly the same image as this on his wall (he drew it) except it's not Jesus with his hands raised, it's a cross-legged member of some eastern religion (buddha-esque).

I also think that working slightly larger would help you develop your style a lot. It's easy to make small drawings look good compared to larger works, IMO. Maybe you aren't interested in that, but you should try it.

thanks for the feedback, i definitely agree on a few points, and plan to make revisions if i choose to make it a completed piece.

That makes more sense explained like that. Some of your stuff is pretty ill, keep killing it! Are you at MSU or are you in highschool? Are you going to an art school / art program?

thanks man...i start at msu this spring..graphic art major as of now..but i'm considering film because i'm interested in becoming an animator so i could make my own cartoons and animated music videos, none of that 3d computer garbage though.
