I line in PA. I mostly ski park and have never actually ridden fresh snow deeper than 6 inches or so. I am taking a trip to Salt Lake in a few weeks and hope to ski some real pow there. I have just one question, though: if you fall in the deep stuff and pop a ski off, how do you find it again? Thanks

when you don't use straps, the ski can slide under the snow. If you tip-dive and pop outta your binding on a steep slope, it's very likely the ski will just shoot under the deck of snow.

recco should just create a different type of wavelength for recco ski products. ive been saying this for years whenever anyone uses this whole argument, recco just needs to hire me and pay me millions already.

why does everyone associate cranked dins with blown acl's? your more likely to break an ankle or leg, or cartilage...but still pretty likely to blow an acl. so is it like kleenex where everyone just calls tissue kleenex, instead of differentiating between the two.
idk just bothers me how everyone says cranked dins=blown ACL without mentioning anything else...fuck it this doesnt matter at all

take your other ski off. Slice your ski through the snow untill it hits other ones. this works better then poles because pole baskets can get caught on stuff and the weight of the ski along with the sharp edge carries it through more snow.
