Don't take life for granted

Two days ago, my mom and I got into a fight. She started attacking me, insulting me and everything I stood for, the whole deal. After that she kicked me out of the house with no coat, no shoes, nothing, for over an hour. Do you know what it's like to be kicked out of the house in 10 degree weather by your mother? I just lost it. I went back inside and I was told I am leaving. No time to say goodbye to your friends, not even my best friend. In about an hour's notice, I was driven to a rendezvous point and my grandparents picked me up. All of this was around twelve o' clock at night and not only was I driven to that point, my mom just left me there. Three or four people asked me what the hell I was doing out this late with my bags. I just replyed "Life's a bitch, isn't it?" I cannot explain to those who don't know what it's like to not be loved by your own parents and how it affects you. I hope none of you have to go through this and to those who have, I feel absolute sympathy for you. I am currently Living in Scarborough, ON with my grandparents and for the most part, I am extremely happy here. It's a hell of a lot better than the foster home she threatened to put me in.

My parents kicked me out in a rather rude manner as well. At least you don't have to deal with being homeless or without family in this situation. Don't let it bother you because your mom is a fuck up; just focus on school and what you love and say fuck you to the haters. Your mother obviously has some fucked up boy issues.

Same here. I got kicked out at 18. My mother has always been psycho. Narcisstic and bi-polar. We can never talk because theyre always screaming matches. One day she wanted to talk things out with me so I met her at my dads (I was doing laundry there earlier in the day). She came to pick me up there and we were going to head out to dinner and then I was going to stay at her place so I had my laundry basket full of clean clothes with me. No more than 15 minutes in to our ride, she freaks out over something (I cant even remember, it was so long ago), slaps me across the face, stops the car and yells at me to get out. I told her to go fuck herself and that she was fuckin crazy. That made it worse because she slapped me again, she got out of the car, came over and pulled me out of the car, snagged my basket out of the back of her jeep, put it in front of the car, got back in, ran it over and sped away. All the while giving me the finger out of her window. Long story short, I feel your pain. Do for you because she'll never change. Took me a while to figure that out but its better to know now then to keep thinking it'll get better because it wont.

i feel you man, last summer on vacation in SC I got into a few arguments with my parents, and then when my atrocious grades came in my Dad yelled, "You've done nothing!"  At that point I walked out barefoot and went for a bike ride. 5 hours later the cops found me at the airport 7 miles up the Island.  From that point on my life would change forever.

I feel you man. i mean i mean mayby you should put a YOUR in the title. since u didnt actually get put in a life threatening situation. But my mom has now kicked me out of the house 3 times since her marriage went south in June. Starting to really piss me off. She doesnt ever have a reason just that i am pissing her off. It can be minor things and it still doesn't matter. Anything can set her off.

Im leaving next summer to go out to hood for some much needed time away from her. Then senior year and im gone. I Dont give a shit how much money shes spent on my education at a private school an hour away from me. Once i graduate im leaving. Ill pay my way through college myself somewhere once i get residency. She has just made my life hell and i do not want to have to associate with her for as long as possible.

+ vibes. The best thing you can do is focus all of your energy on school. School will obviously present opportunities not only to build your ability to attend college but to make new relationships with people who truly care about you. I would also try not to talk to your mom at all unless you really want to. Make her realize that she screwed up and this will force her to reach out to you. Hey look on the bright side... I'm assuming you skied at Boulder, but now you most likely have access to bigger, better mountains. Good luck man.

damn dude that sucks... next time she gets in one of her screaming fits try your hardest to just stay there and take it. and dont say anything( i know how hard that is)


and if you didn't live on the other side of the country id let you crash in an extra room in my house for as long as you need.

so this one time, i was at the police station waiting for a ride, and some lady comes in with her daughter and straight up tells the receptionist "i dont want her anymore" and just left her there..... shits fucked
