Line Afterbangs or Step-Ips?

pretty self explanatory, I tore part of the top sheet of my 09-10 suspects off around my binding when i broke it off. The local guy at my shop said Salomon warranty wouldn't cover it so I am looking for new skis that are durable an relatively cheap. I've kind of narrowed my search to Line Afterbangs and Step-Ups. So any suggestions?

Stepup is a little wider and stiffer. I found the afterbangs to be too soft. Broke the tip a few days in.

if your mainly gonna be hitting rails than your ski is the afterbangs. step ups are designed to be able to stomp huge tricks.

yeah the step ups are more your stiff park ski to hit big jumps and shit, while the abang is your soft noodle to hit rails.

Well you didnt tell us how tall you are or what you do so i dont know. I have the step ups and i cant imagine the afterbangs. Step ups and flexy and poppy enough for me.

Then I'd go with the afterbangs, they will be more forgiving because they are much softer then then the step ups. At your weight, the step ups will feel like 2x4s.

Honestly dude the Afterbang is too soft. When you flex it for the first time you will think it is nice but after about thirty hits on a jump it becomes a noodle. The Stepup is made as the stiffer version of the Abangs but its so worth the extra carbon ollie bands. basically do you want your ski to noodle out in a couple months or a couple years? honestly its your preference but I would highly recommend the stepups, unless you are someone who loves a super flexy ski than go with the afterbangs
All times are Eastern (-5)
