Lock Picking

i bet this thread is going to take off. my dad is a locksmith, i know how to do it. in canada it's illegal to be in posession of lock picks if you're not licensed.

not really stories, i just got interested in cracking locks when i was like 16, so i looked up some things, i can now open my front door with a piece of cardboard, i can crack bicycle locks easily, numberlocks are super easy and i can pick simple yale locks (the one with a flat key), but i need my homemade tools to do so :)

i can pick small easy locks like the locks some people put on lockers

learnt to unlock number code locks before, unlocked a 4 digit in about 30 seconds once... some are harder though

My little brother is a master at picking locks. He even builds his owns lock picking sets. he said its easy once you figure it out. Just takes alot of patience and lots of practice. He would walk around the house with locks in his hand just practicing the techniques and getting the feel for it. If you have the time and patience then go for gold

The guy in the video just takes an impression of the key then files it doen until it fits. I have heard of kids doing it with their school master locks because all the locks are open by the same key

If one lock is opened by many keys, it's a shitty lock. If one key can open many locks, it's a damn good key.

Its just a master key so there isnt hundreds of keys for hundreds of lockers..........

Lockpicker here.. I live in Canada so it's best to carry around a few bobby pins (best thing for pics) and a small pair of pliers so pics can be fashioned whenever needed and for whatever purpose and you're not carrying around lock pic set which is illegal to have without licence

my best claim to fame would be about 4 years ago in high school there were about 200 empty lockers which people used to bring extra locks to put on to store alcohol, weed, etc.

the school then decided they would put their own locks on all of them, which were all the same locks obviously. actually a good lock, despite having 4 tumblers they were spool tumblers making them quite time consuming to open.

I opened 2 of them and took them home, then cut open one and through perseverance and 4 hours and having a good calliper I made myself a key that worked on the locks.

So yea, I then had a key that could open all the lockers that no one knew about so it was absolutely perfect for storing shit cause who would ever expect that there's 150 bucks of alcohol in a locker that can't be opened except by teachers.

when I graduated I gave the key to someone else and he lost it within 3 weeks. faggot.


that's the best story, but it's been super useful. been locked out of my grandparents and such when they were gone for the weekend and could get in and shit like that

oh and I've managed a Master pro series 6000 lock off a building in only a few minutes (not sure which 6000 it was, maybe 6121 or something)

Oh yeah. I love lock picking. It actually has helped my stealth and sneak levels go up. I am a master when it comes to lock picking. The guardsmen don't have a damn clue to how I do it so well.
