Im going up to Jay Peak on Friday for for the weekend. I heard they got like 3 feet 2 weeks ago and are getting another foot by the weekend. I check their website daily and it says only 12 out of 77 trails are open. If anyone knows why they haven't opened more trails I would like to know. I really want to ski the glades that Jay is known for but according to their website this ain't gonna happen. I WANT ANSWERS!
This is completely false. You are probably gonna find more snow at Jay than anywhere else on the east coast. Hit Jay on a pow day and you'll have a sick day.
All due to the "jay cloud" which just dumps on jay - they really do get a tonne of snow
I ride jay every weekend, i was up there last wednesday and thursday they had 2 feet it was real sweet but it was on top of nothing so it was sketch i blew out some edges but none the less it was good skiing, i think they been getting some snow this week dont trust there website check noaa or something. Had some friends ski on the weekend got real windy and icy as for the 12 trails only because a few chairs are open. but enjoy the park ahaha a 2 foot wide 6 foot long box and a 5 foot long rainbow ahaha but you can lap it on the t bar all day its the best.
I'm pretty sure if you're in the park at Jay you're doing it wrong.
and you totally got me all.mountain, I was fibbing, not ALL of the snow blows off the mountain, but pretty close. I always hit rocks when I'm there, I don't know why anyone goes to Jay anyway, Stowe is like so much better.
it dumped, got warm, now cold and snowing again. Jay as always is doing a little better in the snow dept but I wouldn't venture into the woods yet, still not much of a base
