Haven't Skied for 3 year Help me pick sizes

I boarded for 2 years but I wanna ski again. Im buying skis this week and theyre gonna be twin tips, what size should they be im 5'8" 145lbs? Also any brands I should look for?

i would say like a 176, give or take a few cms for length. have you put any thought into what you are going to get? because that is a much bigger deal

My price range would be 200-250(yea i know its low...) I already have boots so i just need skis with bindings. Also I want to sell or trade my K2 Anagram 2009 board with Ride Lx Series 2009 bindings(both ridden for 1 short season and have minimal wear/tear) to put towards the skis, anyone wanna help me out with value on those?

Line skis are so dope i definetly recomend them! I dont no if your going to find new skis for that cheap tho. have u looked in s/t?

Jw wont 176 be way to big? Im 5'8" and 160 is nose level which ive been told is where they should be at, fyi I have every intention to be throwin down flips and spins and to L.U.P.E. Im not looking for new skis I wanna get used ones sorry i didnt mention that, I was just looking for some help finding sizes and good brands to look out for! =)

176 is a bit big for your skill and weight...I am assuming your not an expert since you have not skied in 2 years..i would go with something in the 160-170 range...they will be easier to control and more fun for you...

So I settled for 154 Head Mojo Mix 09 skis dunno what bindings they come with, picking them up tomorrow thanks for the help

Dude, 154cm skis are like 5 feet tall. I'm around 5'5 and I ride 166cm, which are about my height. Not saying that you need to have skis that height, but generally with twin tips you get a bit more length to compensate for the more centered mount. I'd even feel comfortable with something like a 171 mounted -3 or -2 from center. My 166s are like -3.5 from center.

But some people like shorter skis. Within reason, I'd say it's preference. Ski them. If they feel too short get larger and if they don't then keep them.

154 is reeeeally short you might want to reconsider that if possible.

im 5'9 and i ride 181's. my 5'3 girlfriend rides 160's.

to your nose is kinda a bare minimum. eyebrows to the top of your head is more accurate for twin tips. especially if they're gonna be center mounted or close to it.

yes, much better for u, 154 will look like snowblades for u, and u will wash out on landings super easily with those, go with the 172's

I'm not sure how strong of skier you are but 172s will definitely be better than 154s. 154s are basically kiddie skis. For your height I would say the absolute shortest you would want to go is 165. 172 should be fine, even if they feel a bit long to start with you should get used to them pretty quick.

i would say low 170's is what you want length wise... and 4frnt is selling brand new clicks right now on their website for 175...

got the 154s because in store the 172s were huge(taller than me) ill let you guys know how it goes down, i think they should be fine though because when i used to ski i liked smaller ones
