waste of money?
6'3'', 190 lbs. ski mostly park and pow when i can (probably 3 or 4 days a year) and i usually go out west for a week or two (keystone + breck usually) i'd centermount the 194s, and also probably use them every once and a while for dicking around and being that tool kid with pow skis in the park. are they terrifying for park?
so any pow we get is mostly use in the trees. i've got a pair of liberty hazmats that i'm in the process of selling, cause i don't feel they're turn-y enough for tress. i actually prefer my centermounted park skis (walls) our tree-pow needs, cause they're more pivoty feeling, where as the hazmats (mounted an inch back) have too big of a turning radius for tight trees.
according to their site, the new lifes have a 17 meter turning radius, which would, in theory, make them pretty fun for tree skiing. but the other half of me is thinking no 194 ski, even centermounted, would be fun in trees.
the other, probably more logical option, would be to centermount my hazmats. but part of me thinks fuck that, life is too short not to get absurd rockered fat skis.
anybody who's skied them, are they nimble tree skis or are they BC tearing up monsters that'd be useless on the ice coast?
thanks!

get one lifes instead. best tree ski ive been on and some people even use them as a park ski. i take them out basically anytime im not skiing park all day. hold up really well for a pow ski on groomers too.

wait why would i get one lifes? aren't they just more rocker and a bigger turning radius, so better for west coast style skiing? i also probably wouldn't centermount them...
they're definitely sick skis, but i was under the impression new lifes made the most sense for me..

the aren't as wide as the new lifes. they are stiff which makes them stable when conditions suck. even though they have a bigger turn radius they are still very nimble. more nimble than the new lifes would be. Ive demoed a lot of similar skis and im way more happy with my one lifes than any other similar ski. new lifes are basically a deep powder ski and wouldn't be as fun as the one lifes in other situations.

sorry for the dub post but mine are like 4cm back from center which is basically recommended. the jib-oriented mounting point on the seems to be around center of the part of the ski that isnt rockered. so somewhere around center would be prime

I would go with the one lifes. I have the LL2s mounted 1.5cm back from center and they are the most fun ski I have ever rode for everything here in michigan.

I've owned both One Lifes and New Lifes, and would definitely recommend the One Life for the EC. Both are stiff, fun in trees, and both can ski park (although the One Life is much more fun in the park). Center mounting is definitely the way to go with the New Life and -1 or 2 for the One Life. Both ski equally well outside the park, but the One Life turns quicker, even thought the radius is larger. For the EC, you will definitely appreciated the narrower waist of the One Life.

hm well damn, sounds like if you've skied both then you'd know. i guess the crazy amount of rocker on the one lifes freaks me out a little. thats good too cause i can get last years one life for significantly cheaper.
where are yours mounted? i guess i'd go -1 from true center?
also feel free to keep posting if anybody else has any opinions

Haha don't be afraid of the rocker! I had my One Lifes at -2 and my New Lifes are dead center. I wouldn't go farther than -2 w/ the OL and It'd be stupid to mount anywhere but dead center on the NL. Pm me if you mant more detailed info...
