i understand that there are a lot of spammers out there but if there is a website that legitimately fits in with what NS is trying to promote then why can it not be posted in a thread?

cause since they got sponsors and ads and shit, people pay money for that kind of stuff, so if they let you do it for free.. you know..

how stupid do you have to be to not know that advertising something for free that will directly take away from your own business isn't a good idea?

jesus christ people are angry on NS forums you guys dont have to be total assholes just because the answer is obvious to you.. it isnt necessarily taking money from ns i mean it may be something that offers something ns doesnt have.. its still attracting people to NS to talk about the website

well then before your website fails horribly, you can keep all of us "assholes" off your site... then again that's if anyone goes on it.

Why should you get it for free when everyone else has to pay?
It doesn't matter if its different to what others are advertising.

i guess i consider the forum part of a website to be the place to be able to get free advertising.. its kinda like the twitter of NS where the point is actually for people to be completely self-centered and self-promotional, and then the traffic created by this helps the host site. yes, my post alone does not bring ns enough views to make them money, but the collective forum posting has to add up. thats just my opinion obviously a lot of people feel strong enough the other way to be total dicks for no reason at all

Because people don't share the same view point as you doesn't mean they're total dicks.
No forum I've been on has allowed free advertising or self promotion

I totally understand the reasons behind NS wanting to keep it's own interests at heart... however isn't it hypocritical to have links to momentskis and brobomb (a blog with advertising I might add) in your sig?
Where does one draw the line?
