I'm getting old...

...at a prime age of 22.

My right ear works far better than my left ear.
When I squat down on my heels, both of my knees crack/pop.

Anyone else have things that make them feel old/drive you crazy?


(yes, I'm bored studying for finals)

at 22 my back hurts all the time. And after skiing real hard my muscles ache more then i ever remember. i also seem to have worse hangovers and feel it more the next day if i party to hard.

Hahaha I laughed at this.

Need to get laid?  I can hardly get it up anymore!!! Jokes..I am in a serious relationship so that isn't the issue.   When you are my age, you will start to understand.

I do find that I appreciate fine spirits much more though, which is a huge plus.  Maker's Mark is my new drink of choice.

my knees do the exact same thing!

However, I refuse to grow up. I go out absurdly late, multiple times a week, drink obnoxious amounts of cheap alcohol and wear ludicrously tall clothing while skiing exclusively park.

I'm 21 in March btw

im 18 and my left knee pops all the time, but thats just because i don't have an acl there. but my eyes are slowly going already, my left eye only sees far and my right eye only sees close

i think you'll find that most people on a skiing forum are gonna have bad knees. I'm 18 and mine are gonna be bad too. they already creak a little from skiing, rollerblading, and soccer, and whatever else I do probably.

I broke my back a few years ago and now I can feel whenever it's going to rain/pressure changes in the weather. Also, when I bend over at the waist, my back bugs out and won't smoothly bend forward. It spasms visibly and twitches. My knees and ankles crack pretty bad too, and my one ankle is so loose, from spraining it, that you can pull my foot forward, out of the socket a bit. And to top that all off I have like 70% mobility in my left shoulder from having surgery on it. I've got kind of a fucked up left hamstring too. The way I look at it, is that it's a sign of a life well lived so far. No complaints here.

My knees crack too, i'm 19 so I just think that it's maybe genetic.

However, I was skiing all of last week and I had a sweet sleep schedule from 8pm to 7am.  I felt like a 75 year old woman.

im 18 and my knees crack/pop every time i bend them haha. i also get quite a bit of sleep, enjoy crocheting like a grandma, get hot flashes on a daily basis, among other things....

Every body part that I've seriously injured in my body cracks. Knees from skiing, shoulder from skiing and snowboarding, my ankles snap when I walk, and I can make my toes on both feet crack because I've broken both big toes and my left foot and never had anything done to it.

At least I still feel pretty young. Leaving the ski patrol locker room in the morning I can basically run up hill to the lift faster than everyone else. Makes me feel like a young whipper snapper

I'm 20, my body always aches, my knees are shot, and I should probably consider growing up soon instead of just skiing all the time.

I've been in college for 2 years now and still don't have a clue when I'll graduate.

My priorities are completely out of order, when I'm not skiing I'm drinking, smoking, or generally doing something stupid and childish, and when I'm not doing any of those things, im probably in school.

My future plans consist more of being somewhere with good skiing than good work.

I work all summer so I can straight up blow cash throughout the winter.

Instead of spending semester breaks with my family I spend it skiing somewhere at least 1500 miles away from my home.

If I have $100 in my pocket, half of it goes to weed, 30% of it goes to alcohol, and 20% of it goes to fast food. I feel like if I didn't ski so much I'd be 300 lbs.


Bottomline is, you're not old. As long as you can still walk and ski you'll be fine. Worry about growing up when you're in your 40s. 22? Jesus that ain't shit. Sure you might have to start paying bills and shit, but as long as you don't get no bitch knocked up you'll still be able to have plenty of fun for at least another 10 years or so.

I am increasingly reminded of the value of a good nights sleep. A couple years ago I could sleep for 4 hours, go to work early in the morning after a night of hard partying and pay no consequence. Hangovers seem to have gotten worse with age as well. Just diagnosed with lactose intolerance, bummer. I'm 20. Also, my knees pop as well...seems to be more common than I would have thought.

me too! I'm finally figuring out what I really want to do, and it looks like I'll be in school for at leasttt 3 or 4 more years, and then I want to go to grad school for graphic design after that which is 2 more years. Yay for spending the rest of my life in school

you call your friends house to see what's up and you get that clicking/busy tone and think 'yup, he's on the internet'

ha. not to mention nobody had cell-phones or anything like that. man, how the hell did we communicate? i think i used to bike to my buddy's places and knock on their doors to see if they were down for hangin out, and if not, i just rode home..

i rode my bike EVERYWHERE i went through tires like crazy, thats exctly what i would do, ride to my buddies houses to just chill if they didnt answer their house phone, i knew a few girls who had their own phone line which was clutch
