i am doing exactly what i want. i'm actually lucky enough to say i got a good job in the career that i wanted directly out of high school. why would i go to school, loose my job and have to start the whole process over again when i could gain the same knowledge and get paid for it at the same time?

that wasn't at all what happened. the guy told him to go to college cause he was bitching and moaning about how hard his shit is compared to school and talking down to kids cause they DARED complain about school being a pain in the ass. look at the string of replies on the last page

there is no reason fighting it because unless you literally have a mental disability you know it's true; all you have to do is put in a minuscule amount of effort and you'll at least be able to pull a high school diploma out of your ass.

i'm 22 and went to high school and college with good grades, and now have a serious job. i never said school was hard, all ive said or implied is that youre a pretentious little douche of a 19 year old who thinks he's been around the block cause he has a job

i worked 30 hour weeks and went to high school too (along with sports, ASB, a girlfriend, ect), it's really not that hard. HS is fucking easy.

now i'm working 3 jobs and no less than 60+ hour weeks. i work no less than 6 days a week. don't bitch to me telling me your life is hard because you have school and a "job". high school is a joke and i would bet my last dime that you work no more than 15 hours, at least on weekdays."

.........I don't give a shit about last page....I'm just saying that a lot of kids in high school have this illusion that the only way to be successful and have a good life is if you go to college, learn something that's not even interesting to you, and sit in a cubicle all day and get payed. I disagree with that.

Yes there are two ways of doing it your right. The only problem is somehow in the US, college has become highschool. If you don't go to college your considered a dead beat much like if you didnt finish highschool back in the day you were considered a dead beat. The fact is that with everyone getting into college our public colleges are going to shit. I think many people should rethink this and not got to college unless your completly serious on your studies. Kids just end up leaving college with a shit ton of debt and really nothing to show for it. So I did mean my first comment no matter how stupid it really is, chances are you will need college to make it in the long run. If you manage to make it without college, then I consider you a genius (or lucky) and you most likely never needed it anyway.
