How to get twixtor into effects tab?

in the file viewer, drag the twixtor effect from the video effects folder to the clip you want, and it will show up in the motion tab

Stupid answer. Im trying to get it from a FXplug file to final cut.  Its not showing up in the effects tab yet

if it doesn't automatically show up, there's a good chance you downloaded and installed the wrong version. it's either not for final cut, you chose the wrong install, or you downloaded a version not compatible with your version of final cut.

when i downloaded it, i just went into the filters menu and it was there

you need to put it in the "plugins" folder (well thats how it works for AE)

or like he said, maybe you downloaded a AE version thinking it was for fcp

yea make sure it's in the plugins folder. to do this, right click on the FCP application icon and click 'show package contents' and you'll see the plugins folder.

but when i installed twixtor, it told me it would automatically install it in the plugins folder as well, and it did.

There's 2 plugins folders (plug-ins and plugins). Both didnt work for me when I tried this method
