I'm 22 and essentially suck ass and on the one hand can sort of appreciate what you're saying (although largely out of bitterness) but on the other hand we should all be stoked to see crazy youngens throwing down. Not only does it show promise for the future in that we can expect big things from a lot of these crazy lil bastards but I also believe that it's the best available indication that skiing is making a serious comeback, young kids think skiing is cool again and are not just picking up snowboards because they feel it's the cool thing to do. On top of that it's sweet because surely the knowledge that there's a whole host of crazy young guns looking to replace them will help keep the current pros on their toes and wanting to continue to further advance the cause of skiing, not only for the mere love of skiing but also for fear of being replaced.

i'm not much older than some of those kids, and if they can throw down, well, thats rad. its just those kids who think they are the shit who come on this site to brag about how good and young they are. if they are good and maybe let the word out once in a while for a good purpose, thats good. but if they're just doing it for a sense of 'hey look at me, im better that a 20 year old', then screw them. im not hating on anyone really, it just gets annoying after a while.

heres a thought. okay, skiing is progressing all the time right. well, when we see sumthing new, we see it all at the same time. this means a 20 year old would see it first being done and so would a 10 year old. after they see it, they wanna go try it. both of them. this means they have about the same amount of learning time, but one kid is just younger. soon those 10 year olds will be 20 and a there will be a kid 10 years younger then him. they will both see a new move will be pulled that they want to try. both of them see it and do it and learn taking the same amount of practice. except, once again the 10 year old is younger so he gets more recognition. see what i mean. age, if u think about it, doesnt really matter.

But your missing the biggest point, fucking 12 year old kids arent as developed as a 16 or 19 year old thats why you dont see as many of them ripping it up. You can not tell me that you could put a 10 or 12 year old kid on a football or baseball team with 17 year olds and it be fair. Of course not the older kids are going to be better....just like in skiing.

Yeah i agree the parks have gotten better and skis even haev probably gotten better. But by no means does the ski make the skier. Tanner hall could still rip even if he was on 140cm elans, and jumps aer jumps. They may be bigger and smoother now but there have always been jumps to throw shit off of. dude.....age doesnt matter as much as how long youve beeen skiing....i was 13 during the seson and i was doing cork 9s and flats over the 90ft at mount snow....htats almost just the same as a 16 year old doing it that has been skiing as long as me. the only effect taht age has is until a certain point your bones and muscles arent developed yet....but when i was 8 i stomped my first 1080 so your still somewhat developed
