I missed the part where she said she could see Russia from her house. While what she said was ditzy and irrelevant, it wasn't technically incorrect.

...yes it was? The only place you can see Russia from is the western coast of Alaska, and the distance between that and Wasilla is roughly the same distance between Vancouver and Denver.

.. the reason it's hilarious and embarrassing is because "being able to see alaska" was her response to how her position has helped her relationship/diplomacy with other countries. it was a complete non-answer just like most of hers are
