is wet gloves in the morning. especially leather ones on a cold day, man that's just bad. agree? and I know we all love skiing (or snowboarding) here, but there are drawbacks. what would ruin your day?

being horribly hung over and losing your pipe out of your pocket on the first run of the day, and being left with a baggie full-o-grapes but nothing to smoke with.

that or having diarhea the whole day, and constantly going to and wrecking mid mountain lodge toilets. every bump and drop is dangerous in that situation

can be hellla fun

in chile the fog rolled in to la parva (it was our first day there) and you coudnt see more than 10 feet in front of you and it was sooooooo sick. we were the only ones on the entire mountain (or so we thought) and made the simplest groomers exciting and challenging. so fog for me is dope

You can get a doctor to get it out and then put stuff on it so it never grows ingrown again. But yeah, those are pretty much crippling til they heal or get taken care of.

haha, today there was MAD fog and soo much wet/heavy snow. it was great, so yeah i had the most epic combination of the 2.
so i bombed switch for a challenge :P

the worst is when you're on your last day and you wake up and have to pack your crap cause the bus leaves at 20:00h, but you're super hungover and discover you have to pack a shitload of stuff into 1 tiny bag and clean up the apartment, get bags to the bus and do all that while you in theory you could still be skiing if you had packed and cleaned up the day before...

first day with my new boots, mid season though, its about 4 oclock and i just got to the mountain to ski till 10. i hit my gatorade off the table when putting on my one boot. he rolls over and lands perfectly inside the other boot... upside down... open. SO it was full of 16 ounces of red gatorade. spent an hour in the bathroom drying it. sucked so much.

I would be crazy pissed.

Foggy goggles are the worst. I seriously think I could punch a baby in the face when my goggles fog on a powder day.

Skiing in the rain and getting wet boots, then heading back to your house and leaving your wet boots just outside the door because they fucking reek. Weather looks awful for the next day so you get on the drink HARD and forget to bring your boots in. Wake up the next morning, turns out the temperature dropped overnight so instead of rain there's 12 inches of fresh. Finally work out where your boots are and when you go to put them on they're frozen rock solid since they were soaked. Fresh pow + monster hangover + ice boots = massive, massive day ruiner. Even if you spend like 2 hours at the hand dryer in the bathroom you still just have soaked boots.

Resort day: When the bus driver decides to leave 5 minutes early and the next one isn't for 2 hours, that or losing a glove on the way to the bus and realizing you have no choice but bus all the way home or buy a new pair
backcountry day: seeing an avalanche in the distance at the start of the day, makes you nervous throughout the rest of the trip or makes you turn back and give up the plans
