Inception, without a doubt. I watched it in theaters over the summer. I was the highest ive ever been in my life before. It was honestly the most confusing/amazing/mindfuckingly supreme movie ever.

Eye trip.

Inception is visually stunning, but the script and acting is really weak. It was made so people can feel smart when they talk about the "philosophy" behind the movie. They took a simple concept and made it complicated by explaining the plot with poorly acted and timed dialogue.

Sorry, I just don't get why people think this film is so amazing.

agreed. if a movie is that popular, chances are it's not as intellectual as people would like it to be.

however, i thought that inception, like avatar, was produced entirely for the purpose of entertaining. with incredible visuals in both movies and a plot simple enough to keep the viewer engaged, it seemed pretty damn entertaining to me, which makes it a great movie in my book.

Eye Trip becuase skiing is way more fun to watch. Also Inception is only good for the looks of it, the storyline is kinda lame.

No. Although this is a good snowboarding movie, it wouldn't be nearly as mindblowing to watch whilst under the influence as Eye Trip or Inception.

There is actually a lot of philosophy to be discussed regarding dreams and lucidity. What is wrong with making a film that sparks an interesting conversation? I'd rather people "feel smart" and have an intellectual conversation after a movie than just see it, leave, and go back to their lives as if nothing happened.

I found that people who actually understood were already the intelligent ones.

however then there were those who came out of the theater crying about how confusing it was.

Inception I think is infinitely better than avatar for the sole fact that it was not pocahontas with blue people. It was an entirely new concept and story to me, which is why I enjoyed it. Avatar felt like I was watching a great visual film, with the plot of a rerun.

avatar represents basically everything about the american film industry to me. the writing was beyond stupid, the acting was mediocre at best, it made me feel dumber while watching it. but then i was like "WOAH FLYING BLUE PEOPLE" and my inner six year old beat the fuck out of any semblance of intellectualism i've ever pretended to have. i'm watching cradle 2 tha grave on tv right now. same thing. the plot is beyond moronic, BUT DMX IS BEATING THE FUCK OUT OF CRACKERS.

basically i hate how stupid movies make us and how i can't resist them sometimes.

Not to mention it has the exact same plot as "eXistenZ" the David Cronenberg film, except that deals with video games instead of dreams.  Anyone who hasn't seen eXistenZ should check it out.

Yep, eXistenZ is a cool movie for sure. The thing is that it's quite different from Inception, because since it involves virtual reality, time is not slowed down the further down one goes. So in that way, eXistenZ is more simplified.

Sorry for the late post, I ended up watching inception and it really blew my fucking mind, as we know when your high you dont take into account how bad the acting is... especially when there is loud crazy orchestra music and mind blowing visuals. It was a good movie to me.

Inception wasn't remotely "deep," and I'm baffled at how many people think it is. It is simply a stunning visual tale. It's like a non-shitty Michael Bay movie.

Also, I'm sick of people bitching about story lines in films. If you want a good story, read a book.
