The trailer for Moore's new film is out, Lions Gate will be distribuiting in now since Disney pulled the plug. The Film will premiere on the 25th of June.

Haha, Bradbury is awsome.
Back in the 40's or 50's Ray Bradbury got a few peoples phone numbers and told them that he would call them the day that man walked on the moon. The people or course said it couldnt be done.
When it did happen all that Bradbury said when he called was 'you stupid son of a bitch' and hungup.

as journalists in the Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter found out when they called the author, that he is mighty pissed off. Here's my translation of the juicier bits of the interview:'

'Michael Moore is a sexual expletive anal orifice, that is what I think about that case. He stole my title and changed the numbers without ever asking me for permission.

Have you spoken to him?

- He is a horrible human being. Horrible human!

That Ray Bradbury thought Moore could take his Palme d'Or from Cannes and stuff it was extremely clear, even if he never expressed himself with those words, when DN reached the author in his home in Los Angeles. ...

Do you disagree with his opinions...

-That has nothing to do with it. He copied my title, that is what happened. That has nothing to do with my political opinions.

Bradbury said that he had tried to discuss the issue with Moore, but that the director avoided him!

- I called his publisher. They promised he would call me the same afternoon, but he didn't.

When was that?

- A few months ago, when his plans about the movie were first made known.

The conversation touched politics when Bradbury mentioned that Moore had ruined general Wesley Clark's chances to become the democrat's presidential candidate. Like several American commentators Bradbury means that Moore's support to Clark was a kiss of death when Clark did not distance himself from Moore's claim that Bush deserted from his military service.

- He slandered the president to General Clark, and Clark allowed him to do it. Clark should have said: 'Don't say that. It is not true.' That day Clark lost his chance to become president.

I understand. And you supported general Clark?

- No. I support honesty.

According to Bradbury others have asked him about Moore's use of his title, but 'I don't want to make a big story out of it.'

- I detest all paparazzi journalism that is so common these days. If I just could make him change his title silently, that would be the best thing.

Do you think that is possible, I mean the movie is very famous under that title now?

- Who cares? Nobody will see his movie, it is almost dead already. Nevermind, nobody cares.

But it won the Palme d'Or in Cannes?

- So what? I have won prizes in different places and they are mostly mean-ingless. The people there hate us, which is why they gave him the d'Or. It's a meaningless prize.

Ray Bradbury was very clear that he considered Moore a dishonest thief, but refused to answer if he would press charges in any way.

Wow... I hate to think that sucha well respected author could be so damned ignorant as to make a comment like that one. How horribly disrespectful to so many great filmmakers honoured at Cannes over the years, and what a horribly bigoted comment to make about one of America's oldest allies. Sickening. As for the film, I'll see it, though I know what'll be in it. If the title is the only problem the conservative nitpicking machine can find with it, I'll be surprised... from the moment it becomes accessible, untold numbers of people will begin to go over it with a fine-toothed comb, looking for errors to exploit and ways to discredit it. If it gets seen at all... distributors are beginning to see that in funding Moore, they're really selling him the rope for him to try to hang them with.

Moore has some good points, but he has a tendency to go overboard on some of the stuff, I'd still like to see it.

i think his films would be 200% better if he relaxed a little and let the facts speak for themselves. the thing i hate the most is when someone trys to push their ideas and thoughts on me. I just cant put aside how much of an asshole Moore is during his movies. I mean the guy is FUNNY and makes me laugh by how he does things, but i dunno, just not what i wanna see in a documentary. but hey, at least hes willing to stick his neck out there for something he believes in

side note: the ice cream truck in the trailer, when he reads the patriot act, is hilarious, ill give him credit, he comes up with good shit

yo dude I said like three times already, its gonna be in theaters all over the US on June 25th. Disney sold the rights back to Moore's partner who then brokered a new distribution deal with lions gate entertainment, The same company that distributed bowling for columbine.

So 25th of June.

The movie should be entertaining, but anybody who calls this a ' documentary' is seriously off base. Moore's films all fail to paint the entire picture; they are jaded and disjointed, and fueled by his own interests, and not the facts. How does this make him any better or any more self-righteous than Bush?

What I find most amusing is that one of the major faults people find with Michael Moore is that he is fat. And I also love that Moore refuses to respond to this kind of insult and also hasn't become self-conscious.

Onto the movie: Someone remarked that he needs to let the facts speak for themselves more. From what I've heard about this movie as compared to Bowling for Columbine, he does, and he appears less in this film.

This guy named Michael Wilson is making a movie called 'Michael Moore Hates America.' Hilarious.. the trailer seems to suggest that the movie is essentially just about itself. So, in the interest of a balanced media, I am working on a movie called 'Michael Moore is Jesus,' based on the fact that there is a virtual religion of people out there who have devoted their lives to misconstruing everything he says. Should be fun.

And BTW, Sounds like Moore has been a bit of an ass about the title. And he was a little dishonest with his editing techniques in Bowling for Columbine. Hey, nobody's perfect.

thanks a bunch jbtech for this trailer. i am very excited to see this movie. after reading dude where's my country, it will be really interesting to see what this movie will bring to the table. i can already see a lot of similarities.

I didn't read this whole post, so i dont know if someone already said this. But, yes okay this film is from the liberal point of view, but what it looks like to me is that its telling the truth, it addresses what many Americans fail to see... takes us into iraq, into the white house, and into the lives of Americans. I think its about time a movie actually adressed real life problems and the issues our country is facing. I think it'd be good for consevatives and liberals to go see the movie

Ok I just saw the movie tonight, and it's pretty good. it's nothing like bowling for columbine, Moore does not pull any cheap stunts. It's real information, and it's told with documents and testomonies. It's pretty graphic, showing things no news organization would. At the end it tends to drag on about our soldiers. But it's a very informative movie and it really opens your eyes. The movie does not move as fast and as flashy as the trailer would make it seem. It's long slow and there's a lot of information.

I have stoped my self from respond to theses trends cuse it makes me mad lissing to people talk. HE IS A LIBRIAL! no shit he is, BUT he dose tell the truth and donset only show one side. HE IS RIGHT! about alot of stuff the biggest one is the amount of gun deaths in the US. 10,000+ GUN DEATHS IN THE US, this isnt made up allthought most of you seam to think it is. In in the mid 90s US had more gun deaths in ONE WEEK then all of western eroupe in one year. In bowling for colobine More basicly made this fact appearent. He didnt blame the govment as much as most of you make it out to be, he blamed THE MEDIA. Yes the media, not the goverment but the media, so i dont see how anyone can say that he distorts the truth. He is agist Bush admistration but he dosent blame all the USs problems on it.
