Looking for Ski Advice

Im currently living in AZ...but will be skiing mostly in CO

Im 22 yrs, 6'1" and weigh 180 lbs

Advanced Skier (doing it my whole life) - Love all terrain (haven't tried too much pipe) Backcountry, glades, moguls, groomers, and park.

Looking for a pair of TWIN TIP skis that handle all mountain, but when I do venture into the park (about 30% of the day) I will be able to pop off jumps and hit whatever comes my way (rails included). On this note, I think I would like a relatively light pair thats not too wide. NOT LOOKING for K2s.

Looking for Length between 170cm and 180cm

Looking to buy some used skis in the very near future, so would like advice on some pairs that you all have had in the past that you have loved riding.

Any and all comments help -- as I want to compare different types and models. Also if you have seen any threads on the Sell/Trade forums with regards to good skis I should consider, thats even better.

Your probably going to want to look for something in the 180's. Do you know what bindings your after? At your weight, I would suggest Marker Jesters. Mine are fantastic.

Do you also have a preference in the flex?

177 line afterbangs would work for all mountain, but especially good in park. I would get them with some sort of Marker bindings. Dukes, Jesters, or Griffons. I have Griffons this year, and they're awesome.

I love my afterbangs, but I would want something with better side cut for all mountain. Unless he wants a flexy ski, I would think he may want try something different, perhaps a little more directional.

^^Not trying to be a dick but afterbangs are a pure jib ski. If your only skiing park 30% i would get something midfat and directional, like volkl bridges, or salomon lords.

you said no K2 but one of my friends uses obsetheds that he originally bought for all mountain/pow, in the park... because he bought new pow skis... and I never really hear any complaints

also my lil brother skis obsetheds just everyday all day and he hits up the park quite a bit, he's gonna keep them as park skis and plans on getting some JJ's this year

I use anthems if its a park day/ early/ late season and theres rocks to be hit

and have a pair of czars for non-park days when everything's pretty well covered and theres fresh turns to be had and cliffs to be hucked

Those may be a good option. I personally love Line skis in general. You may have to look out for durability issues. I've heard good things about them, but they might not last you more than 2 seasons. Especially if your rough on your equipment.

By the way, why don't you want K2's?

Ive just skied a few pairs of salomons and k2s in the past, have liked them for sure, I just wanna try other brands for fun.

The Volkl Bridges sound like a pretty unique ski that could definitely be good for all-mountain and seem that they could hold up in the park. My only worry about them is that they may be too heavy -- I do wanna be able to pop and spin easily. if anyone has insight on that...

Also, Ive always wanted to try riding some Line skis...so I was checking out their freestyle all mountain -- like the chronic cryptonite and the mastermind.

Is it worth it to get a nice new pair of cryptonites -- or would people recommend saving some money and having a lot of fun popping around the mountain on the masterminds?
