Way back back in the day when they created this new fancy website called youtube, I made an account for it so I could put up a video of me and my brother hitting an "urban rail" at a school by our house. This was like 5 years ago. My favorite show at the time was Top Gear, so naturally I made my youtube username-"thestig". Apparently up to that point no one had thought to use that name so I've had it ever since.
People send me messages that I get as emails all the time about how I'm wasting a channel name, because I haven't put up a single video since then.. Its pretty funny.
