K, so i just got a new card for my gopro hd and wanted to update the firmwire...
i put in the new card (Lexar PLATINUM II 32gb sdhc 100x) in the gopro. and plug it into my computer (MBP) and nothing happened, it didnt show up on my desktop and the Gopro didnt do a thing.
It worked last year....
so i tried the same wire with my NikonD300 and it works fine.
but the gopro doesnt... it doesnt show up or anything, and now it died... Halp.

if your rly lazy.... go pro doesnt connect with mac, now its dead. hep.

Like I said in the other thread, why can't you just plug the SD straight into your MBP? I've also read somewhere that GoPros tend to not cooperate well with 16gb and 32gb cards.

well that was said price, i got a deal ;) and its 32gb
ive had to many SD cards fuck me over before, i dont wanna buy some cheap ass one again.

plug into wall via apple usb wall charger...
waits 1 min

here's the dealio...
well first off - i recommend kingston class 4 - never had a problem

when you plug it into the computer, did you turn the camera on? you must turn it on and it will switch over to USB mode and then show up on the computer.

Is your camera dead dead now? How did it get like that in the first place? what did you do?

Try taking out the battery and putting it back in . when you plug it into the wall, does the light turn on as if it's charging?

If it's dead dead then submit a support case to gopro (www.gopro.com/support) and they will take care of you

same thing happened to me tonight while installing the new firmware, gopro wouldn't record, mac wouldn't see it in USB mode. I put the card into my PC it read it, but there's a ton of new garbled folders and shit. Finally the mac read it, I tried to erase/restore but it wont. Just as randomly as the computer saw the card the gopro started recording video. I have a feeling it'll fuck up again sometime soon. It's an 8gb PNY card btw.

i left it in the wall charger all day, then it turned on for 10 seconds and "BAT" and shut down.
it was fully charged before this whole ordeal started, then over the course of 10 mins... it went from full to dead, i havent used it in 3 months so i think its fried. im gunna bring it abck to the shop i bought it at this weekend, and yeah, i think its dead dead. fuck.
