Weird sayings

so i recently just moved from idaho down to fremont california because of my parents new job. the biggest thing that i have noticed is that everyone in my town says hella. thats hella cool, thats hella fun etc. when i say everyone i mean it to. just wondering if in any other places say this or if your town has a big saying.

im from the portland area and i know so many people that say hella. but it does not bother me. jah bless (as in jobless (as in trustifarian)) and chuch bother me more than anything

I'm from PA, and when I moved to CT for school I started hearing a couple of things that I had never heard before. My roommate from freshman year (along with a lot of other people I've met here) say "straight" all the time. We planned on meeting up with one of his friends and when I asked him if the kid was chill he said "yeah he's straight." I immediately thought he was referring to the kids sexual orientation until I heard him using it a lot.

It also took me a while to realize that a ton of people didn't have speech impediments and were actually from the Boston area.

haha the teachers and adults have no clue!

we always just talk about gary, and everyones like WHO THE FUCK IS GARY????? So we stop talking about gary, and start talking about freddy, and again they wonder who freddy is. We tell them hes our friend, and thats it. we're not lying. gotta love gary.

we talk about gary in front of our hockey coaches sometimes too haha, they stopped asking who gary was because they just didnt seem to understand
