so im in need of a new car desperatly and a friend is getting rid of a 1993 lexus sc400 in excellent condition with 100,000 miles on it. Im trying to buy it for 2500 -300 from her 3500 she initially wanted and i think i will get it at that price. Anyone know anyting about this car at all is this a good buy? I was looking online and found some solid reviews but nothing really to descriptive or anything.
Assuming it is actually in "good" condition as defined by the KBB, I'd say you're getting a good deal. I'd say go on the KBB website and configure it with the same options, and exact mileage, and check on the condition of the car to figure out for sure if you're getting a shitty deal or not.
yo i know you can get it for 2000. if you don't know anything about cars/repairing them lexus is not for you, just saying. if you want to be patient and learn it could be a good thing. and if you have a reliable and LOCAL mechanic who knows his way around lexus's go for it, but be ready for something completely unexpected to side swipe you and knock you on your ass. just remember it's an older car, still nice, but just do a 300000 point inspection first. take a mechanic with you if you really want the car, and take this as a forewarning. good luck.
