2011 HellBents VS 2011 obSETHed

i own last years oBSethed and they kill!! everywheres!

great ski should have no problem with riding switch in pow
plus this years are a little wider and have more rocker

id go with the seths unless you really see the need to get monster pow skis that arent that great
on non-pow days..

I think the new obsethed is similar to last years bents, dimensions are just a slight bit smaller. Some of the K2 factory team is using the obsethed over the new bents, such as sean petit, he seems to find them pretty jibby.

But what about obSETHed rocker ? I want to mount them -2 from real center and in that case tip rocker starts alomost in the front of the binding. IMO it will affect stability on landings. Also not sure about tail rocker such diffrent from tip rocker. What about HellBents ? Hasnt anybody used them yet ?

I've skied both in a 179, own the Bents now.

I'm like 95% sure the reason he's on Seths in a lot of shots you will see is because they were shot way, way early and the Bents weren't available to the team with retail topsheets (let's face it, half of ski films is marketing next year's products). Or at least I happen to know that was the case with the Niseko segment in The Way I See It.

How do you have them mounted ? I cannot decide between center or -1,5. Gosh, I'd like to have cash for Seths and Bent :)

Hey dude,
I've skied the Old Bents, Old Obsetheds, Demoed the New seths briefly and I've fondled the new bents.
If you liked the old Bents then the new ones won't be that different. They are a bit wider, have a little camber and they are slightly shorter in each size. I doubt these differences will add up to much difference of performance.. bit more float, and probably bit less responsive on groomed but its a very similar ski to before: not the best in wet/heavy snow, the Obsethed will be a fair bit better at busting through wet stuff and crud. I didn't love the new Obsethed, i found it a bit lifeless compared to the older model.. but it will be better than the Hellbent in crud. The old Obsethed was ok to land switch in pow, and the new one has the same tail rocker and with added nose rocker it will even be easier than the old to land switch. However in terms of skiing switch, jibbing and general playing around, it wont even be close as good as the Hellbent.
Basically it comes down to which is more important, jibbing or wet snow/crud performance?

Basicly it is all about off piste jibbing including pow and wet snow:) And also dancing between trees.

179 obSETHeds came in and we sent them to Le Pettit. He liked 'em and skied them all year.

bents=more rocker, wider, more twin tipped (I think)

Obsethed= less stiff, narrower and Im not possotive but aren't they camber underfoot?

seths: they have camber, which means more pop, control and ability to stomp,but still have rocker for charging and flotation.

bents: no camber, wheely out on landings, only great for super deap, other than that, its sketchy going fast. and they are huge.

neither. get a lighter ski. I hated the hellbents I had, just too soft for how heavy they are. it makes no sense really...

send me some skis i'll like them and ride them all year too bro! hahaha
