but really, break it up into chunks. study for a half hour, take a ten minute break and browse NS or whatever. it really helps

this. and the way i do it, i time everything, like i literally have a timer going. i study for an hour, then when the timer goes off i set the timer for 15 minutes where i can just chill, then when thats done i set it to an hour again and i do work and i repeat that cycle

dude for me i just shut down the laptop, bust out some chill music and drown out all other distractions. the music probably helps the most. just dont get something upbeat or that you sing too

that's how i roll minus an actual timer. it's so necessary to take breaks or else i just become bored and burnt out with it and end up stopping altogether. i usually take a break, jam out to a few songs, make some coffee, then sit back down again and bang out another 30 mins or so-usually over like a 3-4 hour period. i can't do a lot more than that in one day.

GIS 365 final in 1hour 42 minutes and im on NS. turns out taking the 360  to the parents house over the weekend wasnt as great of a plan as first thought

My finals start next monday. I found the best thing you can possibly do for yourself is start studying EARLIER. Even if you put in a lot of studying the day before the exam, you don't retain it as well as you would if you do it in small segments starting earlier on.

honestly the first time i was banned off ns (and the last) was the best few days of studying ever, if theres some way to tear yourself away then do it. i got so much shit done without the temptation

I kind of just go into the exam with minimal study time (besides making formula sheets) and hope for the best...It usually works out pretty well.

I know fuck this shit, its so ridiculous. opening day is tomorrow and I have a western civ and english final back to back at 830 friday. The best way to study for me is to pull out everything you have note wise and then pull out your book. go slwoly over you book and your notes in unison adding shit he didnt go over to the notes whil re reading everything that you took notes on. really good refresher while getting all your reading done at one time

Thats my strategy also. except what for some one said above, start studying 2 weeks in advance little by little and retain the info, that is the best way right there, i learned from experience, but my time management sucks so i never end up sticking with that strategy
