Surface swap/butter variation help.

i already posted this in the trick tip forum, but i thought i should post it in here as well.

So today i was gettin creative and messin around on a DF box and started doing a bunch of surface swap butter variations.
(not sure, if the terminology is correct, please correct me if not)

surface swap 3s
surface swap 2 to 180 out
surface swap 4

Now, here are a couple variations that i have tried and failed, or just thinking about. maybe you could help me out?

FS surface swap 3 to switch out.
for this one i had a hard time just stopping my rotation after 3. im almost positive im having trouble with it because i never could really tell where exactly i am in order to change my rotation. any help? i wanna start pretzeling this, and switch out would be a good foundation.

FS surface swap shifty 4
i was thinking i could put a shifty in just after i rotate the 3 and land forward. any tips for putting the shifty in?

FS Surface swap 3, FS 2 out.
i tried this one, but when i started scissoring for the 2, i'd end up doing kinda a 1 foot 50 50 kinda thing. would it be wise to stop the original rotation to setup for the 2 out?

FS surface swap 5
just for shits, i wanna try a butter surface swap 5. any tips on just spinning like crazy? i know i should spin harder, and keep looking around my shoulder, anything else?

any help would be much appreciated.

a surface switch up, imagine doing a switch up but without hopping. they're relatively new on the scene, and TC is pretty familiar with them.

i'm sure there will be some in here

yeah, that makes sense. But my problem is, im still a ways away from the end when i reach 3.

do i just need to spin slower?

surface switchups on boxes don't count haha. do all of those tricks on a rail or tube and then come back and talk

thats what i was thinking. It's a lot harder to do on rails. everywhere I go always has lots of boxes.

FS surface 3 swap switch out

For this you will need to use nose edge pressure to stop your rotation and spin the other way to switch. It is the same as a 270 on pretz 270 out.


FS surface swap bs 4 shifty out

You are gonna need to use nose edge pressure to get the 4 around, i would put the shifty in the last 180 so your body comes around to 4 and then your legs snap around and you stomp.


FS surface 5 swap

Just tail edge pressure real hard and tuck up and spin really fast.

a switchup is a switchup if you leave the box/rail/tree/car.....

what i want to see is butters on boxes. presses too, but imagine a switch tail press and without leaving the box switchup and tailpress the other way, and you know 270 out to serious after bang.

true, i can do surface swap 5 or a tube and i eat a lot of shit getting it. i tryed this one time on a box and got it.
