Where to buy good used race skis

I'm a high schooler racer. Been racing for 6 years. Only getting one pair of race skis this year so I need a slalom pair so i can at least do alright in both slalom and gs. I'm 6' 160lbs and im looking for a SL ski size 165-170 with or without bindings. Does anyone know of any where I could look or something? Thanks

depending on you budget you can pick up last years or even the year before for real cheap if you search the internet well...i picked up a pair of sick nordicas for like 75% off last year and they absolutly kill it.

But seriously, I've bought a pair of rossi world cups skis with fks 155's at a ski swap for 50$.

So the moral of my story is watch for local ski swaps and go there. Amazing deals usally.

i've exhausted every ski swap in the area. i was early and in line before the doors opened for every single one, no dice
with bindings i could go to like $350. without maybe $200

slalom race skis 165cm-170cm. $350 or less with bindings $200 or less without. good, recent skis. i.e. volkl racetigers, rossignol radicals, etc.

i searched ebay for you but i didn't find anything quite right. you might find problems getting a slalom ski at 165-170. most are roughly around 160. i'm sure you have looked at ebay, craigslist and ski swaps. did you look at the plethora of online ski shops and check clearances or anything?

back in high school i started racing when i basically started skiing. i did what you did since i am poor. i made the mistake of getting a pair of short gs skis to use for both. it was kinda silly.

I think we have some radicals for 350 with bindings at Ski Mart in WA. Not sure of the size I'll check when I go back in on Friday. Not sure how you would get here to buy em though cause we only list/ship current year models.

sometimes there are Facebook groups for used gear, or classifieds for your local team. I don't know where you ski at, but if there's a local club team or a few around, I would check out their websites or their Facebook pages. If you want to you could also post to their Facebook page's wall and ask if anyone has any skis with the dimensions you're looking for. Hope that helps. Also, if you're in utah KSL is the business, and even if you're not in UT I'd check it out anyways and see if people would be willing to ship to you.

Just travel back in time. Find your parents when they are about 24 years old. Tell them in x amount of years they they will have a kid, tell them not to be complete fuck ups and make good decisions. So they can buy there fucking kid a pair of race skis. This type of thing just baffles me?

Also, most of the best skiers I see ripping big mtn lines are former racers. The park kids are just back seat tail gunning thinking they're the shit.

I am implying that don't have kids if you can't support them. This kid wants skis to be a part of a team, persue a passion and enjoy life. Parents can't spend $1000 on that? Compete shit, and should be kicked in the nuts. Not that hard to be fuck ups in this world.
