Let me apologize in advance for this huge repost, but i need some personal advice...
i'm quite familiar with cameras and recently my old and trusty compact camera broke down, so i'm looking for something to replace it with,
budget = 200$ max
i want to be able to choose settings manually, iso, exposure, etc
i would be happy if it worked with SD cards, and rechargeable AA batteries
decent optical zoom and short time between powering up and shooting a photo would also be ++ !
If it could also shoot HD movies it'd be awesome !
i'm not really a fan of touchscreens and a viewfinder is also wanted ...
i have a strong preference for nikon, but i recently saw a fuji finepix s1600 for 150$ and i've been really tempted to go for it since it looks to me like a good bridge camera between compact cams and the fully manual controll of DSLR cameras, but it's still compact and cheap enough to carry around on all my adventures....
+it shoots HD and has 15x zoom+stabilizer and alot of manual settings + alot of buttons like a dslr to quickly change/choose settings
help me out NS, i'm a bit lost in the overflow of compact digital cameras and looking for a good stepdown from a DSLR, a compact/bridge camera with good performance/handling and around 150$
also i'm a bit afraid of the Fujifilm brand, so far all compact cameras besides Nikon and Canon seemed kinda crappy to me... should this be a real turn off ?
