Has anyone tried the Ninthward Corey Vanular Pros? I'm thinking about getting them but haven't hear any reviews.

im in the same boat man, can find a very helpful review. i have heard that they have soft tip and tail where there is early rise, then the camber under is more of a stiffer build. i saw a post on teton gravity of someone saying that one of the guys from ninthward said this is the best ski theyve ever made.   im hopin to get them on a good sale later in the season since vanular doesnt ride for 9th anymore , even tho i could give a dick less about who he rides for

Saw them at SIA - they looked really sick. From what I can remember, they had an even, medium-soft flex, sorta similar to the sfb

I already talked to the guys at Ninthward and they love'd it. I was just looking for a less biased review if that makes sense. I wonder how they compare to the Bent Chetlers or the Hellbents.

I've put 3 pow days on them so far.  they rock!  Still waiting for the big dump but had 4", 7", and 10".  untracked is the best (duh) but they do great in chop and wind blown.  very quick in the trees & narrow chutes when you don't always get to pick your line.  landing drops is super soft - I'm guessing cause there's so much tip/tail flex - but they still won't dive. 

they ski really short on the hardpack - kind of squirrely if they're not on edge - but that's not what they're for.  they're fun in the bumps too.

the biggest surprise was how fast they are in the deep - I guess cause they float so high

anybody have any or heard any preference on where to mount these sons a bitches,  i think im going at the +5.5 mark   which , from my understanding ,  is -2 cm from TRU center.   these skis have a scale on the side that is 7.5 cm long from FR to FS

get the new ninthward HHP off of amazon for 330. i think they still have them in but not sure go check it out. its a really good deal.

Bump!

I can get my hands on some of these skis and really need to know about the flex and the tailrocker.
I am pretty tall and skinny and i wonder if i could handle the 188 CVP
(Me: 6'2 - 6'3) and about 165 lbs)
Skiing fast and aggressive (Type 3 Skier)

What i plan to do on those skis:
These should be my ski for the deep powdays. I want to hit powkickers with them and i want a decent amount of tailrocker for riding pow switch.

Any legit input is much appreciated and awarded some Karma.

i ride the 188's and have had a great time on them. ski hauls ass period. lots of control and rather playful for the size. easy to jib around and shuffle.not much tail rocker thats for sure but switch isnt bad. was at vail jibbing in pwdr 2 weekends ago and didnt have a problem .  Im 5'11 175 and have them mounted at +5.5-6 on the "ninthward scale". which is like 3 cms back from center or something. this seems to be legit spot with the running surface because there is quite a bit more rocker up front

Just got some 178's in this ski which are more like a 180. Super light for the size, feel like half the weight of my hellbents. Gonna throw some griffons on for next season. Will get some pics up in the next few days.

Same here. My 188s were like 192 or something like that. Did not feel to heavy. I mounted them at -3 and put some Griffons on 'em aswell.
These skis dont have to much rocker. Not compareable to a Hellbent, they still floated nicely and the camber underfoot makes them stable and defintely is a plus when it comes to skiing fast on hardpack or groomers.

So how do they shape up all over the mountain ? We're they not squirrelly on piste? It's gonna be a while before I get to ride them .....

Not at all. It could be my personal experience but in my opinion they handle piste and harder snow very well. The camber underfoot provides enough edge-snow contact and you can easily carve and make nice turns . Only problem i had to face was to ski in a wider stance than usual. Im used to keeping my legs pretty close together with my park skis but these are over 120 underfoot so you definitely need to ski in a wider stance. (This is a personal problem i encountered, if you are used to skiing in a wider stance than you should be fine)
I would not call these skis an all-mountain ski. They are clearly meant to be used in the deep snow. But you can ski groomers or park with them too. You may have to put a bit more effort in the turns than usual but you will get used to this aswell.

The 188 CVP is almost identical in shape/size/rocker profile to the 190 Elan Boomerang. 

I quite like my Booms everywhere on the mountain when it's soft.  Not a ton of rocker, it's very subdued, ike an EHP, but the still float and carve the groomers well.
