both. H0 is found to be true and false so you therefore accept and reject the null hypothesis, leaving you with an acceptable and unacceptable H1.

yeah, it's really H of 1, meaning the 1 is a subscript. H0 is the null hypothesis (also H subscript 0, you can also pronounce it H"naught").

also just to be clear my initial post was complete BS, sarcasm (it's impossible to have both). I wasn't exactly sure what you're solving...my stats knowledge is all engineering related.
