I really don't think that's possible. You have to think about the order of emails in the recipients inbox too. It would still show up after things with a later time/date on it in that person's inbox. The ability to do this would make life fantastic though.

i need to show my parents and teacher that i sent my teacher an email with my final project of the trimester attached to it. this way i can claim her spam filter blocked my email so i can show her my project and she can change my grade. i didnt get a chance to email her my project when it was actually due so i need to show a screenshot of my email outbox showing the date and time that i sent the project.

if that made no sense at all i'm sorry, it all works out in my head though

What I always do is 'forget' the attachment. That saves you some time; at least till you get an e-mail back saying you forgot it.

And to the original question: I doubt that's possible unless your l33th4xer

and if they want to see it in person, save it as an .html file so that you can open it as a webpage. If they are dumb they wont look at the address bar, if they are smart they will. So just have it already open and then change the address bar at the top to be the link to ur e-mail, just dont press enter.

not possible on gmail. using like ms outlook or something, ive heard you can go offline, disable automatic time sync, modify your system time and then reconnect to the intetnet and it will send with your system timestamp. not that i endorse it, but thats how you could fake it in person

if they'll be satisfied with a screen shot youre set, just have someone good (very good, not because this is a hard photoshop but because you better make sure it's perfect) at photoshop do it

what you shouldve done was sent the email with a file called whatever your assignment would be called, but all fucked up like its a corrupted file. that buys time then you actually hand in the assignment. that one's getting sort of old and most with-it profs know it obviously by now, but hell if your teacher is going to accept a screenshot..

haha this is so easy to pull off. i do it in outlook all of the time. Forward the email to him/her and modify the time, date, and recipient of the original email in the text before you forward it. problem solved. Just make sure the font, color, etc. is all the same as the original.

tell them you don't know why they didn't get it the first time. most will look at the time and date sent of the original email and think nothing more of it. child's play. plus, this way you don't even have to mess with photoshopping anything and going to show them.
