ITunes help!

So i put this in M&A, but i though i'd put it in here, seeing as how this might get more hits that way. But anyways, today I DL'ed the iTunes software update 4.2 and it deleted all of my music and videos that were on it, much of which I don't have on my computer. Can anyone help me? I live for music, and would gladly appreciate any help. Thanks.

Well they must be somewhere on your drive, unless iTunes actually trashed all the files.
Look in your "iTunes" folder. Probably My Documents>My Music>iTunes on Windows, and Username>Music>iTunes on Mac.

Yeah like when i plug my itouch in, it all comes up and i can play and do whatever with it, just when i press the music button, nothing comes up. it says that there isnt any data.
&thanks for the other help. i'll try it now.
