Okay so today I DL'ed the iTunes software update 4.2 and it deleted all of my music and videos that were on it, much of which I don't have on my computer.
Can anyone help me? I live for music, and would gladly appreciate any help. Thanks.
Generally when you upgrade iOS a backup is made (of stuff on your own computer). That being said, when the update is done its essentially the same as a restore in a lot of ways, so your music/videos etc. are wiped off. Basically you are shit out of luck and will have to get everything back from those other computers. There are ways of taking music from the ipod to the computer but since I work for Apple, I was never trained to do that and don't have an ipod so never cared to learn.
and there is a program that lets you put song from your ipod onto your cop i just cant think of the name, google it though and you will find something.
