I need to write a hypothesis paper on anything related to International Politics
Any ideas?
Oh and I'll need to research and test the hypothesis with 60 different sources, so the topic can't be so small that only a handful of cites have it.
+K for good ideas

what about something related to any aspect of the newest wikileaks release? for example, there's a big article on the new york times site about reports of chinese hacking operations and bitching with google. you could easily find 60 sources on the way china handles external media. whether you go into censorship or intellectual property law or whatever. it's interesting because it's current but there's still a ton of info on it

You might look at the history of western involvement in the middle east and the rise of extremism and anti-western sentiment as a result. I would start in the WWII and post WWII era when a lot of borders were drawn that would primarily benefit western interests rather than the ethnic populations (look at Iraq as an example). This is a HUGE subject and theres literally thousands of sources to use. Just need to do a little research and I'm sure you could develop an interesting hypothesis to test...

the decline of the British empire.
Been writing a lot about that lately, and it's quite interesting. Plus it covers a whole lot of territory (physically and metaphorically) so you shouldn't have any trouble finding info or sources.

So I took some of the ideas from here, then researched some, like the Chinese one, and came up with a topic that I think is easier, so here it is
If a tyrannical state controls the flow of information within its borders, it will last significantly longer than a tyrannical state that does not.
So thanks NS, +K to those that influenced me

60 sources, holy fuck? i used to use like 5 haha it was my downfall. but international politics is really interesting, I did a US foreign policy paper, it was great.
But I think you should do like a comparative indigenous politics paper between two different but similar nations from two different countries, ie how indigenous Maori from NZ and First Nations in Canada or the States are similar/different in their managements with the state of their respective countries (land claims, welfare, national/international representation, interesting stats etc). I did something similar at school and it was very, very interesting. Found out alot of interesting, often sad information. But there a ALOT of similarities, remarkable ones between indigenous worldwide. I recommend having a look man, i liked it.
