proper sizing for actual skiing: Flip the poles upside down and hold onto them above the baskets. If your elbow joint is at a 90degree angle, they are the perfect size
I just bought the TRIAD aramda pole. It is a reasonable price and it has a removable grip sistem. The pole comes in one size, so you chop it as much as u want, until u find ur fit. Its easy to do because of that system, so u might wanna try that ? : )
If you want properly fitting poles (generic size) do the under the baskets thing
Otherwise its all personal preference and usually ppl that ski park go for longer, ppl that ride big mountain go for slightly longer for hiking and traverses.
