So last spring I tore my adductor muscle pretty bad while I was running, next to no physical activity since besides walking, but accidental running or changing direction quickly (chasing kids I nanny, avoiding being tickled, not wanting to be late for class again, etc) has made it progressively worse and I see a sports med specialist now. that's all whatever. the specialst told me I can downhill ski, but its the only activity I can really do and it still poses a risk. if I overuse my adductor right, I could lose use of it and be out of skiing for years, not to mention everything fun to do outside, but as long as I dont ski intensely, the doc said it would be okay, and if it hurts, to stop. anyone else have experience with groin strains and skiing? should I just ski, play it safe? any feedback is appreciated.
