Ipod nano(5th gen) randomly pausing

So i have been using my ipod nano 5th gen the one with the camera for like 6th months or so while skiing and other sports and what not, today it randomly started pausing(yes i did have the lock on) and my headphone jack isnt loose or anything. The headphones im using are new so its not that. Anyone else having this annoying problem. Any ways to fix it?

i have the same problem with my classic. i think its something to do with the headphone jack, for me atleast. when the ipod moves, sometimes it pauses, never happens when its still. could also be the headphone extension connecter that i have failing.

i have yet to find a real solution though.

i have the same problem with my ipod Video.. until i find a solution to this i installed Rockbox firmware - it's not as comfortable as the original one, but it doesn't have the autopause option, so it's better than taking the ipod out of the pocket every minute!
do your headphones have volume control on the cord?

i reset my ipod last night problem might be fixed not sure though, i will have to listen to it for a while today to see if its fixed
