Didn't watch the video. And what I'm about to say is not a wind up.

I spent about 3 months in South America this year. I took many taxis, minibuses and buses. While I doubt the traffic was as bad as in parts of Asia, it was pretty buck wild. There were also very few stop signs and traffic lights to regulate it. It was by North American standards, chaos. However, not once did I see a crash or terribly sketchy situation. One of my taxis got badly cut off but he expertly avoided danger. Some young kid even drove us up the worlds most dangerous road in a minibus, BLASTING Daft Punk and we survived.

It was a classic case of being so out of control you're in control. So why didn't this perpetual state of road danger ever materialize? You guessed it! Only once did I see a women behind a steering wheel. And that NS is the TRUTH.

theres actually a push for this type of driving in some countries (denmark maybe?) a city in that country used stop lights and signs and had a high number of accidents, it removed all signs and allowed people/pedestrians to work figured it out for themselves and had an insanely lower amount of accidents..i wish i could find the video

the basis for the idea came from watching millions of ants in a colony seamlessly and very efficiently..these people figured if stupid little ants can do it so can we

but yeah the OP's video is exactly like driving in the asian parts of boston..those people are just so fucking bad at driving cars they shouldnt be allowed to get a drivers license

Indian driving is awful and brilliant at the same time - considering how much traffic there is there are so few accidents. Having said that I had a very close call when I was there involving a truck, a bus and me in a tuk-tuk...
Also the roads up in the Himalayas are treacherous, and bus drivers won't hesitate to overtake on narrow, blind corners with treacherous cliffs on each side.
