I am an accomplished racer, slalom and GS, went to state in high school, blah blah blah. All you guys that say racing is gay, lets go stand up top a big line and ski it. What? You think are an awsome skier like in the movies but what's wrong? Why arent you ripping this line and launching 3s and backs off the drops? Oh yeah, that's right, you are good at the trampoline and b-lining into a jump and hucking yourself into the air and landing on your feet, well...thats good too. Here, let me point you to the blue square run that avoids this little line. I'm gonna drop in now and ski it using SKILLS attained through years of training, then go to the park and throw the same tricks you are throwing. Remember, PIZZA! make the pizza! French Fries! Always make turns when going downhill, check uphill before you traverse and always stay in control. yea racing isn't easy and takes much training i'll give you that... but just cause lots of skiers perfer park doesn't make them bad everywhere else... i ski lots of park but i bet i could ski any line you can.... there's lots of hard tree lines here in the east

BTW all you shits who say racers don't know what it is to catch air or whatever. Are you aware that they fly upwards of 50 yards (that's 150 feet for the mathmatically challenged) on some courses?

On the same vein. Racers, are you aware that a newschooler swept the GS, Slalom, and Downhill at my local hill?

guys, what the hell are you talking about? first of all, you think I am on here jerking myself off? The reason I brought up this topic is because everyone was badmouthing people with a racing background. I made my post in general terms, trying to show that someone with a technical background is a more proficient skier than someone who just jibs. I never said anything about my specific skills until pussyfooter told me what I could and couldn't do. and I told him the truth, but whatever. And then someone said I would need a pair of twin tips to be able to jump and that that would make me part of the newschool movement. NO SHIT. I actually still have my first pair of twin tips, the yellow 1080s from 1999. Did I ever say I wasnt part of the newschool movement or that I disliked it? I've been jumping and jibbing forever, I burned the tails of some old K2 Mambas and turned the tails up for twin tips back in like 97 or 98. I'm not trying to show off my skills here, compared to many people on this site I suck. I havent updated my profile since 2001 cause I don't care what tricks it says I can do or cant do. People just started putting words in my mouth. It's taken me almost 4 yrs to get like 700 posts on this site, while some of you that badmouth me have been here for a year and have like 1500. nuff said.
