well I just got a G4 Tower and I need some help.
first let me say that while I still like PCs a little more, OSx is a hige improvement on os 9! I actually don;t hate using it!
anyway here are a few problems:
-is there a way to open up a .exe file becuase i downloaded this thing that said it was for mac but it was a .exe file.
-is there any way to make it so that one user can shutdown whithought typing in the other user's password if both users are currently logged on?
-is there any way to keep your internet connection connected while you switch users?
-HOW THE HELL DO I VIEW/MOVE HIDDEN FILES??? BECUASE I DOWNLOADED A CRACK FOR MICROSOFT OFFICE FOR MAC BUT THE CRACK IS HIDDEN AND THE INSTRuCTIONS SAY TO MOVE THE CRACK SOMEWARE!!! (as far as i understand i can't unless I download some bullshit program. this is just what I mean about how mac os is less flexible then windoz. in windoz I would jsut say to desplay hidden files but in osx I searched long and wide both on the internet and in the mac help files and came up with notheing!)
-is there any way to quit classic mode other then either force quiting classic mode of having that stupid menue thing for classic mode desplayed?
-is there a client for soulseek for mac???
-is there a way to make it so that when the X is clicked that the program also quits? ( I would assume not because i do understand how the dock and all that bullshit works but if there was a way to do this it would make it a whole lot eiser to wein my mom from windoz to Mac os)
-is there any place to get a pirate version of Final Cut pro???
-is there any way to make that 3d spining screen thing (when you switch users) happen more often, that shit's awsome!
-is there any good download accelirators/apps that will resume downloads? becuase i had it dissconect on me and i had to start the download from scratch.
and lastly, may I reccomend a game no mac owning person should be withought, Blobbo! I had this game when I had my old macintosh classic and on osx it will run in classic mode! you can get it
here! it is only like 300kb so go for it!!! (i have, over the core of about 3 years beeten it (it took a very long time!!!) if you need any help ask me!
