Teaching my gf how to ski tomoro

its almost never worth it. nobody i know (and i teach) has ever taught their gf how to ski

Yeah that's what I was trying to get at, worded it pretty terribly.

I'm reppin' that 2% fuck yeah!  Although, I taught my gf how to snowboard, not ski, because I snowboarded at the time.  I gave her a few pointers at the beginning of the day, and just kind of observed, telling her when she was doing something right and to keep doing it, and encouraging her when she fell.  She figured out the basics and was on the lifts within an hour or two, and by the end of the day she was making it down blue runs pretty well.  Now she shreds haha.  Still can't convince her to go in the park though...

I took a run with my roommate last weekend while he was trying to teach his gf how to ski, it was kinda boring. We skiied switch most of the time (and we suck at skiing switch) so that helped make things more interesting. I haven't really taught anyone before but if she can handle it I would skip the pizza, it seems like it begins to hold you back very quickly

If she knows how to ice skate, and has an idea of a hockey stop that is the best comparison. Thats the way I thought of it when I was learning and i was carving in no time. If not then I agree in that pizza stopping is a stupid tool, but its a safe learning device. I'd just say it depends on how aggressive your girl is.

soooo, how's it going?

just got back, it wasnt so bad after all, it started off a little rocky,..I tried to teach her "pizza" and it worked for a little, then the tips of her skis would cross, and a lot of the little tips i wud give her she wud just get mad at ,,,hahah and then i was teaching her just how to stand sideways on the run (because its important and wenever she did it she would slide away) and she fell over and got pretty mad because i was telling her how to get up and she couldnt get up......i reallised that she was getting mad at almost everything i wud tell her, so i just kinda let her do her own thing and watched over her, that went way better she wasnt getting mad...i tried to teach her how to turn in a "pizza" , but that didnt work at all, she kind of got it but it was really hard for her...I think next time im just gunna try to teach her a paralell turn, becuase wenever she tries to pizza turn she pizzas part of the turn and then goes into a somewhat french fry and it somewhat resembles a paralell turn, so i think that wud be easier for her....all in all pretty good day....didnt leave the bunny slope as a few ppl said we wudnt...but this was her first time on snow, so im proud of her......and wenever she pizzas she always leans backseat because shes scared to stand over her skis cuz she doesnt wanna go fast......I def wanna get her up again..if anyone has some tips for the things i said much appreciated...jeaa
