I.D to travel if under 18?

in two days im flying to arizona from ct to go to a soccer tournament , and im 16 , and do i need some sort of I.D to pass security or something ? what would work ? a shool id ? ive googled but im getting tons of mixed answers and is pissing me off .

1)are you going by yourself and if no ask one of the other people going
2)your 16 so you probably have some sort of parental figure who will take care of everything
3)go to the airport and get on the fucking plane its something like 14 and under are unacompanied minors

idk if its different in the states but in Canada you need government issued photo id, so a drivers licence, passport etc.

you need a form of I.D. (Drivers license, Passport, ext.) thats all you need, other than that you don't need an adult unless your renting a hotel room

also, its no different if your under 18, i flew across the country at 15 by myself.

just bring your school id, don't know about the states but in canada they say u don't need it if under 18, but i always bring and show my license anyways, just cause

really? they have always asked me for id when checking in and at security, i don't see them just assuming that you are who you say you are.

i've been flying solo since 8th grade. just bring a drivers license or passport or some government issued ID like that other dude said

i never get ID'd at security or check in, just when boarding I give my license. They always announce travellers over 18 need to have id ready. It's probly just for kids with parents, the 6 year old won't have picture id

Here's according to he TSA website, "We encourage each adult traveler to keep his/her airline boarding pass and government-issued photo ID available until exiting the security checkpoint (children are not required to show identification)"  Therefore, since you're technically not an adult you don't have to show ID, but trust me on this one, bring ID, surely you have a driver's permit, or license?  It will make the process easier.  That's my call on it.  Good luck in the tournament.

I have traveled all around the world, and i can say from experience that unless traveling international you do not need any time of identification as long as you are under 18. they will ask your age, and if you say anything under 18 you are fine. and even if you did need one, a school ID would never be acceptable

haha im too lazy to get my permit -_- . but i have my school ID so hopefully itll be enough .
